Interview: Boxill Returns for Belfast

The Stena Line Belfast Giants are pleased to announce the return of Jonathan Boxill for the 2018/19 Elite League season. Boxill, who iced for the Giants in 2015/16 and 2016/17, re-joins the Giants from the Milton Keynes Lightning with the announcement made on the latest episode of A View From The Bridge, the official podcast of the Giants.

Boxill, who quickly became a firm fans favourite in Belfast, posted 13 goals and ten assists, good for 23 points in 126 games played for the Giants during his previous spell. The Team GB international player joined in 2015 following two seasons with the Nottingham Panthers, helping the side to the 2014 Challenge Cup title.

The 29 year old made the 2013/14 season his first in the Elite League after eight spent years in the USA, including four seasons in the New England College NCAA team.

The English forward enjoyed a well-earned call up to the Team GB squad for the 2015 and 2016 World Championships – where Boxill helped the national side to back-to-back silver medals.
